IPL again included in S&P Global’s Sustainability Yearbook 2023
Incitec Pivot Limited’s (IPL) commitment to sustainability has again been recognised, with inclusion in S&P Global’s Sustainability Yearbook 2023.
IPL was selected for inclusion in the Yearbook after ranking in the top 15 per cent of industry peers and achieving an S&P Global Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) score within 30 per cent of the industry’s top performing company.
At IPL, our strategy is to deliver sustainable growth and shareholder returns while caring for our people, our communities and our environment.
IPL Managing Director & CEO Jeanne Johns said: “We’re delighted to be again included in this year’s S&P Global Sustainability Yearbook 2023 alongside the world’s best performing companies.”
“Climate change continues to be a focus and in the past 12 months we have made significant progress and remain committed to Net Zero by 2050, or sooner if practical,” Ms Johns said.
“We are progressing four projects at pace as we seek to deliver material change in our operational GHG emissions – which collectively give us a pathway above 42 per cent reduction in the medium term with our current portfolio.”
IPL’s newly published 2022 Sustainability Report explains the value that our explosives and fertiliser businesses create through the development of vital products and services.
As a company, we are committed to building on our efforts to contribute to a more sustainable world and provide transparent reporting on our progress.
The S&P Global 2023 Annual Corporate Sustainability Assessment examined a range of governance, environmental and social issues. More than 7,800 companies across 61 industries were assessed via 140,000 documents and 14,000,000 data points.
