Incitec Pivot contributes $400,000 for bushfire recovery to help communities, farmers & customers

Jan 9, 2020

Incitec Pivot Limited will provide $400,000 in relief to support regional communities, farmers and customers impacted by Australia’s devastating bushfire crisis.

The assistance includes providing direct assistance on the ground to support farmers impacted by the crisis through a Customer Bushfire Recovery Fund. The company will also make a $100,000 cash donation to the National Bushfire Disaster Appeal and match employee donations to this appeal.

Incitec Pivot Managing Director and CEO Jeanne Johns said: “All of us at Incitec Pivot have been devastated to see the horrific impact of the bushfire crisis, the scale of which is difficult to comprehend.

“Our thoughts are with all the families and communities impacted, along with the fire and emergency services workers and extraordinary volunteers who have responded.

“Our fertiliser business has customers in many of the regional communities impacted and a significant part of our response is a Customer Bushfire Recovery Fund.

“Our people on the ground will be working with our dealers directly to see what farmers need to support them and their communities. We will be developing a program to meet individual customer and community needs and continue to provide support as conditions on the ground change,” Ms Johns said.

The $100,000 donation will go to the National Bushfire Disaster Appeal, run in partnership with the Salvation Army and Bendigo Bank. Individual employee donations to this appeal will also be matched by the company.

Incitec Pivot is also supporting employees who are volunteering as part of emergency response efforts, including providing access to paid leave.
