Update on Western Australia Business

Incitec Pivot Limited (ASX:IPL) announced today that it had been awarded a multi-year explosives products and services supply contract with subsidiaries for Fortescue Metals Group Limited (ASX:FMG).

The contract, which commences from July 2018 and runs to December 2023, will see Dyno Nobel Asia Pacific bring its latest proprietry technology to meet the needs of Fortescue, the world's fourth largest iron ore producer.

IPL Managing Director & CEO Jeanne Johns said, "Our new partnership with Fortescue is a significant vote of confidence in our innovation, product quality and service delivery".

"Through our leading edge technology, highly skilled employees and commitment to working closely with our customers, Dyno Nobel Asia Pacific is delighted to be partnering with Fortescue. We have shared values of safety and a commitment to practical innovations."

Dyno Nobel Asia Pacific is committed to delivering distinctive value to Fortescue with technologies that are propriety, proven and available now," Ms Johns said.

Differential Energy/Delta E and the DigiShot Plus.4G electronic initiation system will be among the innovative services provider to Fortescue by Dyno Nobel Asia Pacific.

Delta E ensures customers deliver the right amount of energy to different layers of rock within a blast, producing better fragmentation and reducing overall mining cost for the customer. Dyno Nobel's customers in America using Delta E have benefited from increased safety, significantly reduced mining costs, and reduced environmental impact.

The first of the new Delta E Mobile Processing Units is currently in the final stages of commissioning and will soon be transported to Western Australia for use in the hard rock market, with a further two units scheduled for commissioning before the end of the calendar year.

DigiShot.4G is the next generation in electronic initiation systems, which play an integral part in reducing mine operation downtime to the benefit of customers.

"The contract provide a platform for Dyno Nobel Asia Pacific to grow its footprint in Western Australia by showcasing the effectiveness of our technologies and innovations through results for Fortescue.

"We are looking forward to a long and mutually successful partnership with Fortescue and helping it to meet today's challenges," Ms Johns said.
