Click the Career Opportunities link to search for jobs and apply online. Unless specified, we do not accept applications that are not submitted in this fashion. Please do not mail or fax applications.
It is important that all sections of the application are filled out - please note that if an incomplete application is received, it may not be considered.
Once you have submitted an application online, you will receive notification from us via email to advise you that your application has been received by a member of the Recruitment Team.
If you are successful at the application stage, you will then be invited to participate in a phone interview. This allows us to get to know you better, and give you a few details about the assessment process. It is generally a short interview where you will be asked to provide a few more details about yourself.
Should you progress to the next stage, you will be asked to participate in a structured interview. We will advise you of the date and time of the interview, and provide you with details around the people involved, the interview process and timing. These interviews generally take about an hour, and use the behavioural interviewing technique, which focuses on your previous experience. You will be asked to provide examples that demonstrate your skills, knowledge and experience across a range of areas.
After the behavioural interview stage, you may be asked to participate in further testing, including an online Psychometric assessment. This will be organised with you after the interview and more information will be provided at that stage.
On your application, you should provide the details of two referees who can verify your experience. Please advise the recruiter if your referees can be contacted to discuss your time working with them. Typically, you would provide the names of two people who supervised you in recent roles.
You may then be invited to a site visit to familiarise yourself with the working environment, and meet with your prospective managers and workmates. It is also a great opportunity for you to address any further queries you have about the role, and learn more about IPL.
All new employees are required to undertake a pre-employment medical assessment specific to the site's requirements. Details of the medical and the tests that are required will be provided to you at this stage. At IPL, we have a zero tolerance to drug and alcohol, as such all employees are required to undertake a drug and alcohol screen prior to offer of employment.
If you are successful in the interview process, you will be made a verbal offer by a member of the Recruitment Team.
Upon acceptance of the verbal offer, a written offer will be provided to you for you to indicate your acceptance of the role. A new starter employment pack will then be sent out following acceptance.
